our history

The firm started in 1994 with four partners and traded for two years under the name Fouché Lansdell McLoughlin and Rose. Thereafter the name changed to Fouche Hodkinson Mcloughlin Inc. In 2014 we celebrated 20 years of practise. This was a very special milestone for us and to commemorate this and to take heed of the changes in directors over the last 20 years we decided to change our name to Hodkinson.

Initially the firm was located in Essex Gardens in Westville and started business with a staff compliment of between two and four. Slowly the staff compliment grew and the firm moved into an old house in Lancaster Terrace. In 2009 the partners developed the current site and the firm moved to its current premises in January 2010.

more about our team

Jerome McLoughlin was involved with the original setup of the practice and has gained extensive experience over years in public practice.

Annalise Louter joined the firm as a trainee accountant, studied part time and qualified as a chartered accountant while under the employ of the firm.

Lindsay Cuthbert joined the firm as a trainee accountant, studied part time and qualified as a chartered accountant. Lindsay heads up our accounting department.

We have a team of dynamic individuals who are committed to providing a high quality service to all clients. Our staff complement consists of three fully qualified CA (SA)’s, one Professional Accountant and staff at various other levels, each proficient in their respective field. In addition to the accounting skills we also have a staff member with a legal qualification.
